The Human Services Planning Board meeting was called to order at 2:37 p.m. on December 16, 2015. The meeting was co-chaired by Regional Councillor John Taylor and Susan LaRosa.

1. The York Region Housing Story
The Board received the presentation by Rick Farrell, General Manager, Housing Services, The Regional Municipality of York, who provided an overview of York Region’s Housing Plan including:
• Increasing the rental housing supply
• Sustaining the existing rental housing supply
• Supporting home ownership affordability
• Strengthening the homelessness and housing stability program.

2. Patient and Family Advisory Program
The Board received the presentation by Leah Martuscelli, Director, Human Resources & Privacy, Southlake Regional Health Centre regarding the Patient and Family Advisory Program (PFA) that helps to meet the needs and priorities of Southlake patients.
3. Enterprise Promotion and Innovation Centre
The Board received the presentation by Noor Din, Chief Executive Officer, Human Endeavour regarding the Enterprise Promotion and Innovation Centre (EPIC) that helps to build the social economy through innovations in community economic development.
4. Tenancy Risk Reduction Service for Seniors
The Board received the presentation by Christina Bisanz, Chief Executive Officer, CHATS – Community & Home Assistance to Seniors regarding the Tenancy Risk Reduction Service for Seniors Program (TRSS) that supports seniors at risk of tenancy loss due to an inability to maintain their home in a safe living state.

7. Next Meeting of the Human Services Planning Board
The next meeting of the Human Services Planning Board will be a working session to be held on February 5, 2016 at 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the York Catholic District School Board.
