Keswick Sewage Pumping Station Upgrades
The Regional Municipality of York is upgrading the Keswick Sewage Pumping Station, including the overflow pipe and maintenance holes, in the Town of Georgina.
When: Work on the overflow pipe will occur from July to September 2022.
The Keswick Sewage Pumping Station upgrades began in January 2022 and are expected to take approximately three years to complete. The work to install the two new sanitary forcemains continues.
What can you Expect?
Every effort to minimize disruptions to the public will be made:
- There will be lane restrictions on The Queensway South and construction-related traffic in the area; staff will be on-site, as needed, to help with the movement of traffic and reduce any delays
- Due to the nature of the work, there will be construction-related noise and dust, though every effort to minimize this will be made
- Access to all homes and buildings will be maintained and there is no impact to your water or wastewater services
We understand that construction can be disruptive; thank you for your patience while we complete this vital work. As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions.
