Construction on Pefferlaw Road, west of Lake Ridge Road
Transportation improvements prepare York Region to meet the needs of motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and transit users today and into the future. York Region is replacing an existing bridge with a culvert on Pefferlaw Road, west of Lake Ridge Road, west of Lake Ridge Road.

Description:
York Region replacing an existing bridge with a culvert on Pefferlaw Road, west of Lake Ridge Road, west of Lake Ridge Road. Constructed in 1934, the bridge has reached the end of its useful life span. Installing a culvert will allow travellers to continue to use the road while allowing water to pass freely under the road.
A road closure is required to complete this replacement.
Impacts to travellers:
- Work will occur Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Road closure:
- Pefferlaw Road will be closed from Main Street to Lake Ridge Road from 7 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024 to facilitate the bridge replacement
- Traffic will not be able to travel through the work zone during the road closure
- Local traffic is permitted; however, those with properties to the east of the bridge can only access Pefferlaw Road from Lake Ridge Road and those to the west, only from Station Road
As with all construction projects, work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
