What:
The York Regional Forest you know and love today has flourished for over 100 years. To commemorate this centennial anniversary, York Region is planting ceremonial trees and guiding a forest walk. The event will open with smudging, a drum song, prayer and tobacco offering.
Trees will be planted on behalf of York Region, the Province of Ontario and the Chippewas of Georgina Island First Nation.
