Financial Assistance and Other Benefits
Ontario Works provides monthly financial assistance to cover basic needs like food and housing costs. You may also qualify for prescription drug coverage and other types of benefits as required.
Prescription Drug Coverage
While you are receiving Ontario Works, you and your family will receive coverage for prescription drugs that are listed in the Ontario Drug Formulary.

You may get financial assistance for some special items and services in addition to your monthly allowance. Speak to your Ontario Works team to see if you qualify for financial assistance for:
