Markham Household Hazardous Waste Depot will be closed Monday, December 2 to Wednesday, December 18 for site maintenance. Regular depot hours will resume Thursday, December 19.

Rules and Regulations
This depot is for use by York Region residents only. Drop off during business hours only. All materials must be in original packaging or well-labeled. Do not mix substances. Sharps must be in a rigid, puncture-proof container (such as an empty bleach bottle) with a tight fitting lid labelled 'Needles/ Sharps'. Household hazardous waste (HHW) is accepted from York Region residents only. York Region residents may drop off up to 60 litres of HHW per day and 20 compact fluorescent light bulbs per day. Industrial, commercial or institutional waste materials are not accepted.
