Happy New Year from The Regional Municipality of York

On behalf of York Regional Council and The Regional Municipality of York, it gives me great pleasure to wish all York Region residents a happy new year.  

New Year’s is a hopeful time as we reflect on the end of one year and beginning of another. 

Looking back at 2023, I extend thanks and appreciation to all York Region residents who have supported the post-pandemic recovery of our communities and continue to contribute to the growth and success of York Region.

As we embark on 2024, I’m confident we will continue to work together to uplift one another, build a York Region where every resident can live to their full potential and continue advancing our vision of strong, caring, safe communities.

In the year ahead, the health, safety and well-being of all who call our communities home will remain a top priority for Regional Council. At the same time, we will continue to focus on the issues that matter most to our residents by investing in key programs and infrastructure projects that will support our communities for generations to come.  

Today, with hope and optimism, I wish all York Region residents the best for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2024.
