Book a Court Customer Service Appointment
The Richmond Hill Court location is closed. All provincial offences matters including those under the Highway Traffic Act and municipal bylaws will be heard at 17150 Yonge Street in the Town of Newmarket.
Front counter customer services are available by walk-in without an appointment; however, appointments are encouraged to avoid long wait times.
The following services are available:
- Traffic ticket and fine payments
- Submitting a request for a trial to be scheduled
- Filing re-opening and time extension applications
- Obtaining appeal information
- Submitting requests for disclosure
- Serving appeals, motions involving appeals, factums, transcripts, and books of authority for Part I POA and Part III POA municipal offences with the Regional Prosecutor
- General inquiries
When booking an appointment online for front counter services, select the court location that corresponds with the location code on your offence notice (ticket). The location code is the first four- digits of your offence number. Please see Tickets and Summons for examples.
Once the booking is complete, you will receive a confirmation email containing your appointment details as well as instructions on how to reschedule or cancel an appointment if needed.
Please note: you cannot book a trial online; you must submit a request for a trial to be scheduled

Customer Service Appointments are unavailable at the Richmond Hill Office (50 High Tech Road, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 4N7). Walk-ins will be accepted and we encourage you to either visit our office or call 1-877-331-3309 or 905-898-0425 between 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m .if you require assistance.

Appointments are also available by calling the Newmarket courthouse at 1-877-331-3309 or the Richmond Hill courthouse at 1-866-758-0750 from the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. When booking an appointment, you will be asked for your name, phone number, email address and offence number.

Virtual First Appearance appointments can be booked online by selecting the Book a First Appearance Button below. Once the booking is complete, you will receive a confirmation email containing appointment details and Zoom call in information that can be used when preparing the summons. Instructions on how to reschedule or cancel an appointment is also included in the e-mail.
You may file your documents in person by booking an appointment at york.ca/courts or by emailing an electronic copy to @email
