Local Business Employment Survey
The York Region Employment Survey is a door-to-door survey of area businesses. It is conducted between May and August every two years. The survey attempts to gather key business and employment information that is used to inform Regional and area municipal policy directions. The information is used for a variety of purposes, including:
- Monitoring local economic trends
- Updating the York Region Business Directory
- Analyzing and marketing local business sectors
- Creating business attraction and retention strategies
- Forecasting infrastructure and hard service requirements
- Transit service planning
Please remember that a York Region employee may be visiting your business between May and August to conduct this survey.
