Join us for York Region’s Remembrance Day Service
Newmarket – Members of the community and media are invited to join The Regional Municipality of York for a Remembrance Day Service on Monday, November 11, 2024, to honour the lives and sacrifices of Canadian heroes who served and continue to serve our country.

- York Region Chairman and CEO Wayne Emmerson
- York Region Chief Administrative Officer Erin Mahoney
- York Regional Police Chief Jim MacSween
- Crystal Cook, Chair, CUPE Local 905 York Region / Long Term Care Unit and Master of Ceremonies
Background:
- Two minutes of silence will be observed at 11 a.m.
- Ceremony will feature military veterans, members of the York Regional Police and York Region Paramedic Services ceremonial units
- The Presentation of Wreaths will be conducted in memory of all veterans, soldiers, sailors and airmen
