Newmarket – York Region Transit (YRT) summer service changes will take effect on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Schedule and route changes are made to meet changing customer demand.

- High School Special routes suspended for summer break
- Route 360 – Vaughan Mills/Wonderland will service Canada’s Wonderland seven days a week
- Route 90 – Leslie restructured at John Birchall Road in the City of Richmond Hill
- On-Request services adjusted

York Region Transit (YRT) fare changes will take effect on Monday, July 1, 2024
In December 2023, York Regional Council approved the 2024 budget which includes a 3% annual transit fare increase effective Monday, July 1, 2024. This is the first fare increase since 2019 and will help to address the rising costs of operating the transit system.
Discounted YRT fares continue to be offered through the PRESTO card and PRESTO mobile wallet. YRT offers several discount and fare assistance programs such as the Transit Assistance Program, One Fare, Ride to GO and Fare Capping. For more information, visit yrt.ca/FareChanges
