Notice of Temporary Lane Restrictions and Intersection Modification in City of Vaughan

Highway 7 and Highway 27 Intersection

The Regional Municipality of York is building a new 11-kilometre gravity sewer pipe along Rutherford Road, Highway 27, Highway 7, Islington Avenue and Steeles Avenue West in the City of Vaughan to provide sustainable wastewater servicing and accommodate future growth in the west Vaughan communities.

Description

  • Modifications to the Highway 27 and Highway 7 intersection include:
    • Temporary lane restrictions at the intersection
    • Traffic signal relocation and curb work 

Duration

  • November 20 to December 4, 2024
    • Working hours are Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Impacts

  • Temporary lane restrictions at Highway 27 and Highway 7 intersection including:
    • Eastbound lane of Highway 7
    • Northbound lane of Highway 27
  • Expect periodic delays
  • Flag persons and York Regional Police paid-duty officers will be on-site as needed to help with the flow of traffic
  • Access to all businesses will be maintained 

As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
