York Region Holiday Hours 2023
Some York Region offices and facilities will be closed or will operate with limited holiday hours during the last week of December. Up-to-date information on holiday hours can be found below, and any important updates over the holiday can be found on york.ca and on our Facebook and X (Twitter) pages.
York Region Offices
General York Region offices will be closed from Monday, December 25 to Monday, January 1, reopening for regular business on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Access York
The Access York Contact Centre will be operating under holiday hours:
Monday, December 25: CLOSED
Tuesday, December 26: CLOSED
Wednesday, December 27: CLOSED
Thursday, December 28: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday, December 29: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Monday, January 1: CLOSED
Access York in-person Service Counters will be closed from Monday, December 25 to Monday, January 1 inclusive.
Access York (service counters and phone lines) will resume regular operating hours of Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. as of Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
COVID-19 VACCINATION CLINICS
York Region encourages residents to get their updated COVID-19 and annual flu vaccines, especially if gathering with older or vulnerable family and friends this holiday season. COVID-19 and flu vaccines are available at any York Region Public Health vaccination clinic by walking in or making an appointment.
All York Region COVID-19 vaccination clinics will be closed on the following dates:

Sunday, December 31
Monday, January 1

MOBILITY ON-REQUEST PARATRANSIT CONTACT CENTRE
The Mobility On-Request Paratransit Contact Centre will be closed on the following dates:

PROVINCIAL OFFENCES COURTS
York Region Provincial Offences Courts will be closed from Monday, December 25 to Monday, January 1, reopening for regular business on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
YORK REGION TRANSIT
The York Region Transit Contact Centre will be operating under holiday hours:
Monday, December 25: CLOSED
Tuesday, December 26: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, December 27: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday, December 28: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, December 29: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday, December 30: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, December 31: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Monday, January 1: CLOSED
Enjoy FREE travel after 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, 2023 on all YRT and TTC routes operating north of Steeles Avenue in York Region. Service will be extended on select YRT routes until approximately 4 a.m. on Monday, January 1, 2024.
