York Region offices and facilities will be closed or operate with limited holiday hours during the last two weeks of December. Up-to-date information on holiday hours can be found below.

Important changes and updates over the holiday will be shared on Facebook and X (Twitter).

Administrative Offices

  • Wednesday, December 25 to January 1: CLOSED

Regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. resume as of Thursday, January 2.

  • Friday, December 27: CLOSED
  • Monday, December 30: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

In-person Service Counters

  • Wednesday, December 25 to Wednesday, January 1: CLOSED  

Regular service through Access York (service counters and phone lines) will resume as of Thursday, January 2.

Automated Traffic Penalty

York Region Transit (YRT) Contact Centre

  • Thursday, December 26: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Enjoy FREE travel after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31 on all YRT and TTC routes operating north of Steeles Avenue in York Region. Service will be extended on select YRT routes until approximately 4 a.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
