13. Canada’s 150th Anniversary
Regional Chair Emmerson announced that a celebration of Canada’s 150th Anniversary will take place at the Regional Council meeting on June 29, 2017.
14. Retirement - Stephen Fung, Director, Infrastructure Asset Management, Environmental Services
Regional Chair Emmerson congratulated Stephen Fung, Director, Infrastructure Asset Manager, Environmental Services who will be retiring in the near future after 27 years at York Region.
15. Annual Building Industry Luncheon in Support of United Way
Regional Chair Emmerson announced that $1.2 million was raised in support of United Way York Region at the annual Building Industry Luncheon on June 14, 2017.
16. Proposed Council and Committee Meeting Schedule Change
Regional Chair Emmerson advised that an item will be on the June 29, 2017 Regional Council agenda requesting a schedule change to the September 2017 meeting schedule to combine Committee of the Whole weeks 1 and 2 on September 7, 2017.
Private Session
Committee of the Whole resolved into private session at 11:08 a.m. to consider the following:
