The Transportation Master Plan Advisory Task Force meeting was called to order at 9:03 a.m. on September 30, 2015.

The Task Force recommends receipt of the presentation by Greg Lindsay, Senior Fellow, New Cities Foundation regarding “Transportation Planning, Fast and Slow”, which highlighted international innovation in transportation planning.

2. Linking the Future to Today’s Reality
The Task Force recommends receipt of the presentation by Stephen Collins, Director, Infrastructure Management and PMO regarding “Linking the Future to Today’s Reality”. The presentation included a review of the following Transportation Master Plan objectives:
- Managing traffic congestion
- Increasing transit ridership
- Encouraging active transportation
- Supporting employment through goods movement
- Changing travel behaviour
The presentation also included a review and discussion on developing the following Transportation Master Plan policy areas:
- Finer grid network
- Corridor evolution
- Commuter parking management
- Goods Movement
- Boulevard jurisdiction

3. Next Steps
The Task Force recommends receipt of the presentation by Daniel Kostopoulos, Commissioner of Transportation Services regarding next steps for the Task Force, which include reviewing policy principles for the transit network, focused consultation with area municipalities and public consultation.

The next meeting of the Task Force will be held on November 26, 2015.
