Other Business
25. 10-Year Review of the Oak Ridges Moraine Plan, Greenbelt Plan and Growth Plan for the Greater Toronto Horseshoe
Regional Chair Emmerson informed Council that the Province has launched the 10-year review of the Oak Ridges Moraine Plan, the Greenbelt Plan and the Growth Plan for the Greater Toronto Horseshoe.
Valerie Shuttleworth, Chief Planner, advised that the Province has started a 90 day public review of the Plans with a submission deadline for comments by May 27, 2015. Staff will bring a memorandum to Council outlining how the Region plans to report back to the Province in a timely and meaningful way.
Given the short timeframe for public review, Regional Chair Emmerson urged Council Members to have their municipalities start preparing comments to put forward to the Province.
