Place all used or unused fireworks and sparklers in a bucket of water. Soak them thoroughly overnight. Drain the water and put the sparklers and fireworks in the garbage.

This item is Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and can be taken to a HHW depot for proper recycling and disposal. All HHW should be in original containers and well-marked. Containers are not returnable. Do not mix products. Residents may drop off up to 60L of HHW and 20 fluorescent tubes per day at York Region HHW Depots. Roots/Stumps
Root Balls: Must be no larger than 2 feet by 2 feet. Please bring to Georgina Transfer Station and dispose of as garbage for a fee. Please contact a private waste disposal company for root balls larger than 2 feet by 2 feet.
Tree Stumps: Stumps must be cut down into one foot sections (max), have no rocks or soil attached, and brought to McCleary Court CEC, Richmond Hill Compost or Georgina Transfer Station to be disposed of as yard waste (for a fee). Tree stumps no larger than 2 feet in length and 1 foot in diameter may be disposed of as garbage (for a fee) at Georgina Transfer Station. Please contact a private waste disposal company for larger tree stumps.
