Road Maintenance Mailbox Claim Form

York Region can reimburse residents for mailboxes that are damaged by snowplows. Damaged mailboxes should be reported to York Region as soon as possible. Each claim will be investigated to make sure it is valid. The maximum amount for reimbursement is $75. It is the owner’s responsibility to replace and install the new mailbox. Residents can also request that York Region replace the mailbox. It will be replaced with a standard mailbox, and there will be no reimbursement.
