The ABC's of saving the environment: one diaper at a time

Learn the ABC's of York Region’s Cloth Diaper Rebate to find out if you are eligible to receive a $100 rebate on any of your cloth diaper purchases.  

A is for APPLY  

Apply to York Region’s Cloth Diaper Rebate by completing the online application form. If successful you could receive a $100 rebate for your purchase of cloth diapers or cloth diaper rental services made in 2023.  

B is for BENEFITS 

By using cloth diapers you will create less waste and save money. One cloth diaper can replace an estimated 235 disposable diapers, and families can save up to $2,000 per child.  

C is for CLOTH DIAPERS  

Cloth diapers are not only better for the environment, but they now come in many unique patterns making it easy to diaper your baby in style while feeling good about doing the best thing for the planet and your little one’s future. Saving money and the environment never looked so good! 

D is for DISPOSABLE DIAPERS 

On average, 6,000 disposable diapers are used by each baby in their first two years. In York Region, approximately 10,000 babies are born each year. This equals 60 million disposable diapers going to waste in York Region! 

E is for ELIGIBILITY 

To be eligible for the rebate applicants and their children must live in York Region. Cloth diapers or cloth diaper rental services must be purchased in 2023. Proof of purchase or receipt is required. Rebates will only be available on purchases of $100 or more.  

F is for FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED 

Rebates will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Only one rebate per household. Rebates will be limited to a maximum of 50 eligible applicants.
