THE YORK REGIONAL FOREST IS FOR EVERYBODY
The York Regional Forest is open to the public 365 days per year with no cost to enter. Visiting the Forest is a great way to stay active, enjoy fresh air and connect with nature. It’s over 2,500 hectares and is made up of 24 Forest tracts (22 are open to the public) located in different parts of the Region.
York Region maintains four trails accessible to wheelchairs, strollers and other assistive devices. Accessible trails are wider, clear of large obstructions and graded for ease-of-movement. They loop through a variety of landscapes and are between 1.5 to 2 kilometres. Dogs are welcome but must remain on-leash at all times. Accessible parking is available.
