March 14, 2024
Town of Georgina
The Regional Municipality of York is conducting field studies to support upgrades to High Street and Woodriver Bend Sewage Pumping Stations in the community of Sutton. The field studies are part of a review to extend the pumping stations service life and expand wastewater servicing.
Duration:
- May to December 2024
Impacts:
- There is no impact to water or wastewater services
- Access to Mill Pond Park, located beside the High Street Sewage Pumping Station may periodically be restricted due to the field studies; notice of the park’s closure will be posted in advance
- There will be additional trucks and vehicles around each sewage pumping station; every effort to minimize any disruption will be made
- A drill rig may be required to conduct geotechnical borehole drilling; any ground disturbances will be restored to the original condition
