Leslie Street Sewage Pumping Station Upgrades
York Region is building and upgrading our water and wastewater infrastructure to provide safe, cost-efficient and reliable water and wastewater services to the Region’s businesses and communities.

Duration
- March 2025 to fall 2027
- Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; overnight and weekend work will happen as needed
Description
- Upgrading electrical infrastructure and the facilities at the Leslie Street Sewage Pumping Station located at 7033 Leslie Street in the City of Markham
Impacts
- No planned impacts to water or wastewater services; access to all residences and businesses will be maintained
- A preconstruction survey to record the conditions of the properties and buildings near the work area will be conducted
- To accommodate the upgrade work, select trees will either be pruned or removed as directed by a certified Arborist; when the work is completed the area will be restored
- Due to the nature of work, there will be additional construction vehicles in the area; there may be periodic delays due to the movement of construction vehicles
As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions. York Region will provide advance notice where possible.
