Newmarket East Elevated Tank Upgrades - Phase Two

The Regional Municipality of York is upgrading the mechanical and electrical system in the Newmarket East Elevated Tank located at 221 Harry Walker Parkway South in the Town of Newmarket. A temporary southbound lane restriction on Harry Walker Parkway South is required to install a sewer.

Impacts

  • Harry Walker Parkway South will remain open to through traffic; however a temporary lane restriction is required
  • There are no planned impacts to your water and wastewater services
  • Due to the nature of the work, there will be some construction-related noise from equipment and trucks and every effort to minimize this will be made
  • As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other conditions. York Region will provide advance notice where possible
