This is a survey about the New Multi-Residential (Municipal Reduction) Subclass. It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.

Your responses will support a review of the discount and will inform recommended changes to the discount beginning in the 2025 tax year.
 

Do you live or own property in York Region?
Do you think offering a property tax discount will help bring more purpose-built rental housing (i.e., buildings containing at least seven rental units) to the Region?
Do you own property in York Region that could be converted to a purpose-built rental or land on which a purpose-built rental property could be built (i.e., is appropriately zoned, served by utilities and roads, could be a candidate location for a site plan application)?
Would a property tax discount make you more likely to build a purpose-built rental property or convert your property to a residential rental property?
