Batteries can be taken to select waste depots for safe hazardous waste recycling and disposal. Please do not put batteries in the garbage as they can start fires. York Region residents may drop off up to 60L of HHW and 20 fluorescent tubes per day at York Region HHW Depots. For alternative locations visit productcare.org.

Items in good condition can be donated. Acceptance of items is at the discretion of the charity. Select organizations including York Region waste facilities will take damaged and stained items so long as they are clean, dry and odorless.
