Northeast Vaughan Water and Wastewater Servicing Notice of Completion

Municipal Class Environmental Assesment Study

The Regional Municipality of York has completed a Schedule B Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) study to establish the preferred solution to provide new water and wastewater infrastructure needed to service the anticipated growth in northeast Vaughan to the year 2051.

As a result of the study, York Region has identified the preferred solution to service the northeast Vaughan area through the construction of two elevated water storage tanks, two water pumping stations, watermains associated with the storage tanks and pumping stations, and a new gravity trunk sewer network.

 

This Notice of Completion places the Project File on public record for review and comment for 30 calendar days from April 11, 2019 through to May 13, 2019. The Project File Report Executive Summary is available for review and a copy is available at the following locations during regular business hours:

If concerns cannot be resolved through discussions with York Region, a person may request the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks issue an order for the project to comply with Part II of the Environmental Assessment Act.  A Part II Order Request Form must be used and is available online on the Forms Repository website (http://www.forms.ssb.gov.on.ca) by searching “Part II Order” or “012-2206E” (form ID number). The Request must be received by the Minister at the address below no later than May 6, 2019.
