Summary
York Region is looking for feedback from local businesses about their circular economy activities and initiatives.
About the Project
In May 2022, York Regional Council endorsed the Circular Economy Roadmap, which shows how York Region is using circular economy practices in our operations, programs and policies. A circular economy eliminates waste and pollution and conserves resources. It is a shift from a throw-away mindset to a circular one that extends the lifecycle of goods, food and resources through better design and continuous reuse, so nothing goes to waste. Changing how we manage our waste is no small task; it will take all of us – government, businesses, community groups and residents to make the shift. We need your input as we develop programs, policies and supports to make York Region think and act in more circular ways to reduce waste and save resources.
We want to hear from you
Share your story! We want to learn how your business is participating in the circular economy, the benefits and challenges you are experiencing and what supports would help you and others succeed. Insights from this project will inform implementation of the Circular Economy Roadmap as well as update the SM4RT Living Plan in 2025.
How to participate
- Take the survey. The survey will take approximately 5 – 10 minutes to complete.
“Take the survey”
The survey will be available until Sunday, July 21, 2024.
