I. Motions
I.1 Holiday Shopping Bylaw
Motion moved by Mayor Bevilacqua, seconded by Mayor Scarpitti that Council reconsider its November 16, 2017 decision regarding the Holiday Shopping Bylaw.
NOTE: On March 29, 2018 Council suspended Section 17.23 of the Procedural Bylaw to permit the reconsideration of its decision of November 16, 2017 regarding the Holiday Shopping Bylaw, as reconsideration of this motion had been previously attempted on December 14, 2017.
Additionally, at the March 29, 2018 meeting a motion to waive the notice requirements of the Procedure Bylaw and permit immediate consideration of the reconsideration motion was lost. Consequently, the motion has been brought forward to this meeting to satisfy the notice requirements of the Procedure Bylaw.
The reconsideration motion will require a two-thirds majority vote in order to carry.
